faca history

On March 7, 2002 the Board of Directors of Faith Christian Fellowship Church Alive in Christ issued a charter that established the Faith Alive Christian Academy. Thus, Faith Alive Christian Academy opened its doors for the first time to the St. Thomas, Virgin Islands Community on September 3, 2002.

Under the authority and vision of Pastor Alger B. Warren, plans for this Christian academy began in 1999 with the formation of a planning committee who had the task of developing not only the physical plans for the academy but also its Christ-centered academic foundation.

With this in mind, the chair of the planning committee traveled to Pensacola, Florida to attend the Administrators Training Seminar for the use of the Abeka Curriculum, a Christian curriculum for use from pre-Kindergarten through twelfth grade.

However, the Academy will commence its 2002-2003 school year with one kindergarten class and expand with the addition of a grade per year until it reaches its goal of a comprehensive Christian academy for grades pre-K through 12.
